School Emblem

Since the establishment of Nan Kai University of Technology in 1971, the design of the gear wheel in the school emblem has been used to represent the origin of this school, which, at that time, was named Nan Kai Junior College of Industry.

The total number of gear wheels is twelve, which symbolize the twelve months in a year. The constant turning of the wheels stands for the endless movement and the responsibility of training the engineering talents needed in our society.

Specially, the yellow color in the emblem symbolizes the founding spirit of this school, the bright and energetic future.

In addition, the two upward hands stand for the young shoot, the young students of our school. Both the right and left hands represent being able to do the hands-on tasks. More significantly, creativity by two hands is also the practical spirit of our school.

The green color in the school emblem represents the surrounding environment in Nantou County, the location of our school. Green also stands for globalization, vision, ideality, and sustainable management.

The shield in the school emblem symbolizes fostering the physique and strong will of our students in order to meet the challenge in the new era.
