The College of Human Ecology consists of one graduate school and five departments, which are the Graduate School of Gerontic Tech. & Service Management, the Department of Gerontic Tech. & Service Management, the Department of Culture Creativity and Design, the Department of Food & Beverage Management, the Department of Applied Foreign Languages as well as the Department of Digital Life and Creativity.
Faculty
At present, there are 53 faculty members in all, consisting of 6 professors, 16 associate professors, 15 assistant professors, and 16 instructors.
Goals
The goals of the College of Human Ecology are the integration of teaching resources and the superior environment for research and learning for teachers as well as students. The college aims to cultivate talents that possess the values of Nan-Kai (including Realization, Innovation, Comprehensiveness and Harmonization, as so-called RICH).
- To cultivate students who possess characteristics of RICH.
- To develop interest and ability for lifelong learning, as well as life and career guidance.
- To cultivate students with professional ethics such as honesty, reverence, diligence and responsibility.
- To cultivate talents under the fields of Gerontic Tech. & Service Management, Culture Creativity and Design, Food & Beverage Management, Applied Foreign Languages, and Digital Life and Creativity.
- To cultivate abilities of sufficient humanities cultivation, technology innovation, research conduction and environmental adaptation.
- To cultivate outstanding talents of IEEE (Information, Expertise, Ethics, and English).
